Job Title: Plant Manager – Protective Fabric Manufacturing
Location: Mexico City, Mexico (Housing and Transportation Included)
Job Type: Full-Time
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Plant Manager to lead and oversee daily operations at our protective fabric manufacturing facility in the Mexico City area. This position is critical to ensuring high-quality, efficient, and safe production — with a strong focus on weaving operations. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience managing complex textile manufacturing environments and a deep understanding of woven fabric production, ideally for flame-resistant or high-performance textile markets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide full leadership and operational oversight for all plant functions including production, maintenance, quality, safety, and logistics.
- Manage and optimize weaving operations with a strong focus on productivity, process efficiency, and quality control.
- Implement and enforce best practices in manufacturing, lean production, and continuous improvement.
- Lead, develop, and motivate cross-functional plant teams to meet key performance indicators (KPIs) and operational goals.
- Ensure compliance with all local labor, environmental, and safety regulations.
- Collaborate with global operations, supply chain, and engineering teams to support strategic goals and technical improvements.
- Manage plant budgets, costs, and capital investment projects.
Requirements
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Textile Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- 10+ years of plant management experience, including 5–8 years directly managing weaving or fabric manufacturing operations.
- Strong knowledge of protective textiles, woven fabric technologies, and quality systems.
- Proven ability to lead large teams in high-volume manufacturing environments.
- Fluency in Spanish preferred; English proficiency is a plus.
- Must be based in or willing to relocate to the Mexico City area.
