We are looking for a Senior Backend Engineer to design, build, and operate scalable, cloud-native backend systems powering enterprise-grade products. In this role, you will work with modern technologies including .NET (C#), GraphQL, and Google Cloud Platform, owning services end-to-end in a highly collaborative environment.

What You'll Do

  • Design, develop, and operate scalable, cloud-native backend services and enterprise-grade experiences using .NET (C#).
  • Build and maintain robust, federated GraphQL APIs serving web, mobile, and service-to-service clients.
  • Develop and own services running on Google Cloud Platform (GCP), orchestrated with Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE).
  • Write efficient and complex queries, and design data models interacting with BigQuery and other GCP data stores.
  • Own the full service lifecycle: design, implementation, deployment, monitoring, and incident response.
  • Ensure high platform visibility and reliability using observability tools such as DataDog.
  • Collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and fellow engineers to refine requirements and deliver high-quality solutions.
  • Advocate for and implement best practices in API design, event-driven architecture, DDD, TDD, and system reliability.

What You'll Need

  • 5+ years of professional software engineering experience with strong expertise in .NET (C#).
  • Proven experience designing, building, and scaling modern APIs (REST and GraphQL).
  • Hands-on, production experience deploying applications on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
  • Solid experience with Docker and Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE).
  • Experience working with both relational and non-relational databases.
  • Strong background in event-driven architectures, Domain-Driven Design (DDD), and Test-Driven Development (TDD).
  • Familiarity with large-scale data warehouses such as BigQuery, including complex SQL queries.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and observability tools (e.g., DataDog).
  • Deep understanding of microservices architecture.
  • Experience using modern IDEs and AI-assisted development tools (e.g., Cursor, GitHub Copilot) to accelerate development.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $80, $100,000.00 per month
