UI/UX Engineer

E2 Consulting Engineers, Inc. The UI/UX Engineer will be involved in a significant amount of design work as well as maintaining our design system. The primary tool the UI/UX Engineer will be working in is Fimga and they will be creating functional code components in HTML/CSS/JavaScript.

Front-End Development:

• Utilize your advanced skills in modern CSS, HTML, and JavaScript to spearhead the creation of visually captivating and responsive user interfaces for our suite of SaaS products.
• Collaborate with a cross-functional team, including product managers and back-end developers, to conceive, implement, and refine user interfaces for our cutting-edge software products.

User Experience and Product Design:

• Ensure a seamless and enjoyable user experience by applying industry best practices and showcasing a profound understanding of user interface design principles (Atomic design, User-Centered design).
• Actively engage in the design and usability testing process, identifying points of friction in the user experience and formulating testable ideas to alleviate them.
• Work closely with product managers and business analysts to translate design concepts into functional and engaging user interfaces, guiding the process from the design phase through development and testing using industry-standard tools/applications.

Clean and Modern Code:

• Write clean, maintainable, and efficient front-end responsive code while adhering to established coding standards.
• Maintain a reusable component and graphics library to meet the evolving needs of the product and developers, scaling our existing design system.
• Stay updated on emerging trends and technologies in front-end development, coupled with modern user interface trends, and incorporating best practices into our projects.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven track record as a UI/UX Software Developer with a robust portfolio showcasing 5+ years of experience.

Proficient in:

• Modern CSS/HTML & frameworks (e.g., CSS3, HTML5, Tailwinds, AG-Grid).

• JavaScript (e.g., ES6+, jQuery).

• UI Frameworks (e.g., Material, Bootstrap, etc.).

• Mockup and design applications (e.g., Figma, InVision, XD).

• Solid understanding of user experience and product design principles.
• Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and modern build tools.
• Familiarity with JavaScript/Typescript frameworks (Angular, React) is a plus.
• Comfortable working with JSON data API responses (REST, GraphQL).
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently or collaboratively.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to articulate design decisions.
• Familiarity with agile development methodologies is a plus.
