Your Tasks

In this dynamic role of Utilities Technician, your focus will be to ensure the plant's utilities and general services operate safely, continuously, and efficiently. You will safeguard the steady supply of critical utilities essential for the seamless functioning of production lines.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Operating and conducting comprehensive maintenance activities on utilities equipment such as boilers, compressors, chillers, water treatment facilities, cooling towers, and HVAC systems to prevent breakdowns and extend equipment life.
  • Diagnosing and correcting malfunctions in electrical, electromechanical, and control systems promptly to minimize downtime.
  • Monitoring equipment metrics and responding effectively to anomalies or disruptions in utility supplies impacting production throughput.
  • Compiling and maintaining accurate and timely reports detailing shifts, failures, maintenance actions, and contractor work performed.
  • Supervising external contractors to ensure adherence to scope, safety, and quality, while managing critical inventories including chemicals and spare parts necessary for operational continuity.
  • Enforcing compliance with all applicable industrial safety standards and promoting the consistent use of proper personal protective equipment (PPE) among staff and contractors.
Your Profile

Desired Profile:

  • Possession of a technical diploma or degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Electromechanical, or related technical fields, reflecting a robust technical background suitable for complex utilities systems.
  • Proven expertise in the maintenance of utilities within industrial environments, highlighting familiarity with the challenges and demands of large-scale manufacturing operations.
  • Basic proficiency in automation and control technologies, enabling you to troubleshoot and maintain automated systems efficiently.
  • Excellent interpersonal and team collaboration skills, combined with a solution-oriented mindset for addressing operational and technical problems.
  • A strong commitment to workplace safety, including adherence to safety protocols and promotion of best practices in PPE usage and incident prevention.
