Senior IT Developer

Tasks and responsibility

1. 
   
2. Responsible for the development, implementation, and maintenance of our tailor-made tooling / functionalities complementing the DSV Warehouse Management solution (WMS)
3. Build and support system integrations (e.g., WMS, WCS, WES, TMS etc.) using APIs, messaging, and data pipelines.
4. Refactoring legacy .NET and .NET Core applications to Java
5. Analysis of processes and system configuration considering relevant parameters.
6. Identification of functional requirements and development of specifications for necessary software changes.
7. Creation of test scenarios covering application functionality.
8. Active participation in validation, testing, and acceptance processes of subsequent software versions.
9. Collaboration with partners and stakeholders for the relevant systems
10. Creation and updating technical documentation to ensure support for applications.
11. Identification and reporting of development related risks.
12. Recognition of business requirements of operational departments.
13. Provision of IT services in accordance with established operational procedures.
14. Collaboration with support teams as well as doing technical support
15. Accurate reporting of time spent on completing individual tasks according to actual status.
16. Compliance with internal regulations, procedures, law and managers orders, including labour regulations, regulations on remuneration and other internal regulations in the company, including company's intellectual property protection.
17. Behaviours and attitudes consistent with the values of DSV.
18. Professional skills development by participation in training and constant self-education.

Education and skills

1. 
   
2. Bachelor's or master's degree preferably within IT
3. Proficiency in the .NET Framework and .NET Core environment on a level to be able to maintain the legacy solutions and refactor the solutions to Java.
4. Ability to manage tables and create queries in transactional databases, including PostgreSQL, MS SQL and Oracle technologies.
5. Java v.17+ or C# (proficiency in the .NET Framework and .NET Core environment.)
6. Kafka event streaming preferably Confluent Kafka
7. Knowledge of PL/SQL language enabling the creation of procedures and functions.
8. Experience using Microsoft Visual Studio, SQL Server Management Studio, and Oracle SQL Developer software.
9. Familiarity with the GIT version control system.
10. Communicative proficiency in English, enabling effective collaboration in an international environment.
11. Analytical skills enabling efficient problem-solving.
12. Ability to document projects according to established standards.
13. Good collaborations skills with stakeholders, partners and peers
14. Innovative, have ability to think outside the box and propose alternative solutions to complex problems
15. Critical thinking, question the as-is situation and be part of forming the to-be world
