Packaging Engineer – Automotive Electronics

OBJECTIVE
Design, develop, validate, and implement efficient, safe, and sustainable packaging solutions for automotive electronic components, ensuring product protection during transportation, storage, and handling, while complying with quality standards, customer regulations, and environmental requirements, and contributing to operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Degree in Industrial Engineering, Materials Engineering, Graphic Design, or related fields.
Experience:
- Minimum of two years in packaging design or similar roles in the industry.
- Experience with ESD packaging, returnable packaging, ISTA testing.
Technical Knowledge:
- Packaging materials: cardboard, foam, plastic, thermoformed.
- Packaging standards: ISTA, ASTM, ISO 11607.
- Experience with SAP or other ERP systems.
- Advanced English (technical reading and communication with clients/suppliers).
- Familiarity with sustainable packaging practices and environmental regulations.
FUNCTIONS:
- Packaging Design: Create and develop innovative packaging solutions that protect the product and enhance customer experience.
- Materials Analysis: Evaluate and select appropriate packaging materials, Coordinate with suppliers for development and quotations.
- Interdisciplinary Collaboration: Work with production, marketing, and logistics teams to ensure packaging meets quality standards and market requirements.
- Testing and Validation: Conduct packaging strength and functionality tests, Ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards.
- Process Optimization: Identify opportunities to improve packaging production efficiency and reduce costs without compromising quality.
- Technical Documentation: Prepare and maintain technical documentation including specifications and user manuals.
