Be the guardian of the right quality level of the element coming out of Element and Moulds. The challenge is to balance the need for delivery and the level of quality, to be brave enough to reject although delivery are at stake, but also be open to have continuously calibration of the right quality levels.

Core Responsibilities:

Responsible and accountable for the final evaluation of the LEGO elements on all aspects (weight, measurements, function and visual) and have the mandate to reject or approve an element. Be the ambassador of the right LEGO quality level. Make sure the documentation is updated and ready to pass on to next step in the chain. Participate in escalations representing EMV Element Qualification. Support Element Qualification colleagues in daily operations on request (sparring with colleagues and helping sites colleagues) Take an active role in supporting the department strategic areas by understanding the need for change in a short-term. Be active in the department taking cross departmental tasks (eg LPP, LCI, participate in PPS)

Do you have what it takes?
  • High skilled technician experience within quality areas. Bachelor degree (Can be recent graduated)
  • Knowledge about general Quality tools: FMEA, LEAN, Six Sigma, ISO standards is considered a plus
  • Willingness to travel (global team)
  • Drawings interpretation and basic metrology knowledge
  • Understanding and experience within quality, preferably from the plastic industry
  • Experience on improvement and problem solving tools eg. Six Sigma/DMAIC methodology
  • Knowledge about LEAN and continuous improvement
  • High degree of value chain understanding and ability to collaborate with stakeholders on mutual goals
  • English fluent level

Note: This position is based at our LEGO Operaciones de Mexico manufacturing factory located in Cienega de Flores, NL This is not a remote position
