Job position description:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our Pediatric team. As an LPN, you will play a crucial role in providing a variety of patient care activities including assessment, treatment, care planning, patient education, and evaluation in our primary care clinic. Your clinical expertise, attention to detail, and ability to collaborate with various providers and families will contribute to delivering high-quality care. Key Skills and Responsibilities

• Assists primarily with Pediatrics physicians as part of the clinical care team.
• Collaborates with case managers, behavioral health and other staff to assure that follow-up care is received
• Prepares patients for examination and treatment by physicians and mid-level providers by obtaining and documenting health history, medication reconciliation, health risk factors, taking vital signs and assessing patient needs using EMR.
• Complete nursing tasks as assigned.  Tasks will include, but are not limited to refilling medications per provider orders, completing medication prior authorizations, point of care testing, injections, obtaining various samples, assisting patient with patient assistance paperwork.
• Triages and responds to patient communication following established protocols.
• Maintains strict confidentiality and understands HIPAA requirements.
• Administer prescribed medications as needed.
• Performs various Point of Care testing as needed
• Maintains sample medication records in accordance with accreditation requirements.
• Prepares, maintains clinical equipment and stock rooms with medical supplies as indicated to ensure availability.
• Provides education to patients on various diseases and treatment strategies in accordance with orders.
• Assures that clinical areas are clean, safe and that processes assure the safety of patients from cross contamination.
• Assist patients in accessing lab testing, medications, specialty care and social services necessary to promote a healthy lifestyle.
• Treats patients, family members, and other staff with dignity and respect.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• Most possess a certificate from a Practical Nursing program. 
• Active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in Missouri.
• 3 years professional nursing experience preferred.
