Commissioning Engineer

Job Description
Job Overview:
The CSU Electrical Engineer reports to the CSU Manager. The CSU Electrical Engineer provides support to the Lead Electrical Engineer in the preparation of deliverables. At site the CSU Electrical Engineer will participate in walk-down inspections, punch listing, and testing including trouble shooting of electrical component issues that can arise on the project.

Responsibilities
Key Tasks and Responsibilities:

• The CSU Electrical Engineer may be required to support the CSU Team with performing any of the following activities as a minimum:

• CSU Material & Tools Development

• Power Generation System Checks and Tests
• Emergency Power Generation Systems Checks and Tests
• Substation Switchgear and Motor Control Centers (MCC) Checks and Tests
• Low Voltage (LV) Power Distribution Systems Checks and Tests
• Lighting & Grounding Systems Checks and Tests
• Variable Frequency Drive (VFD) Checks and Tests
• HVAC (Heating & Air Conditioning) Checks and Tests
• Resolving electrical issues during Commissioning, Start-Up and Performance Tests

Qualifications
Essential Qualifications and Education:

• Bachelor of Science Electrical Engineering (BSEE)
• 2 + years' experience in Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) project electrical design
• Familiar with codes and standards of NEC, IEEE, NFPA, and ANSI
• Is current on new scientific engineering methods and possesses a technical knowledge of the detailed design engineering process.
• Able to effectively communicate technical solutions and concepts to other engineers and non-engineers
• Capable of appropriate use of computer applications and other specialized engineering tools.
• Electrical engineering experience is required for troubleshooting activities

Preferred Qualifications and Education:

• Prefer 5 + years' experience in Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) project electrical design
• Prefer 2+ years' previous Commissioning and Start-Up experience.
• Fluent in English, Multi-Language Skills a plus
