Job Title: Engineering Drafter
Reports to: Engineering Manager-Mechanical
Comp: 24,000-30,000 MXN/Monthly
Position Summary:
The Drafter will be responsible for creating precise technical drawings, 3D models, and documentation to support product design, manufacturing, and assembly processes.
A Day in the Life:
  • Create and modify detailed 2D & 3D mechanical drawings and models using SolidWorks.
  • Prepare assembly drawings, bill of materials, and other documentation to support production.
  • Review and interpret engineering sketches, specifications and design inputs.
  • Collaborate with engineers and project managers to ensure accuracy, manufacturability, and compliance with standards.
  • Maintain drawing databases and ensure all revisions are documented accurately.
  • Assist in prototyping, testing, and design improvement initiatives when needed.
What you'll need:
  • Associates degree or technical certification in Drafting, Mechanical design, or equivalent relevant experience
  • 3-5 years of experience in mechanical drafting and design using SolidWorks required
  • Strong understanding of dimensioning, tolerances, and GD&T standards.
  • Experience with manufacturing processes such as machining, sheet metal, or injection molding is preferred.
  • Excellent attention to detail, organization, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
