Job Description

Our leading global organization is embarking on a strategic S/4HANA rollout project, migrating from an established SAP ECC landscape. We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced SAP MM Functional Consultant to join our dedicated project team. This is an exceptional opportunity to play a pivotal role in a high-impact, global initiative, leveraging your deep functional expertise to design, configure, and implement best-in-class Material Management solutions within S/4HANA.

The ideal candidate will be a hands-on configuration, adept at translating business requirements into robust SAP solutions primarily through extensive SPRO customization. You will be instrumental in ensuring a seamless transition and optimizing our procure-to-pay processes within the new S/4HANA environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and participate in all phases of the SAP S/4HANA project lifecycle, from blueprinting and design to configuration, testing, go-live, and post-implementation support for the MM module.
• Conduct in-depth workshops with business stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document complex business requirements related to procurement, inventory management, and logistics execution.
• Design and implement robust SAP MM solutions through extensive configuration using the SPRO transaction, encompassing a wide range of sub-modules and functionalities.
• Translate business requirements into detailed functional specifications for technical teams.
• Perform comprehensive system testing (unit, integration, UAT) to ensure configured solutions meet business requirements and system integrity.
• Develop training materials and deliver end-user training to ensure successful adoption of new processes and functionalities.
• Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams (PP, SD, FI, QM, PM, WM, EWM, Ariba, etc.) to ensure seamless integration and process orchestration.
• Proactively identify and resolve issues, defects, and discrepancies during project phases.
• Provide expert guidance and recommendations on SAP MM best practices and S/4HANA innovations.
• Participate in data migration strategies and activities for MM-related master and transactional data.

Qualifications

Technical Requirements & Expertise (Must-Have):

• Minimum of 8+ years of hands-on experience as an SAP MM Functional Consultant.
• Demonstrable, extensive, and recent experience customizing SAP MM through the SPRO transaction.
• Deep expertise in configuring Organizational Structures within MM (e.g., Purchasing Organization, Purchasing Group, Plant, Storage Location).
• Master Data Configuration:
  • Material Master (Material Types, Number Ranges, Field Selection, Industry Sectors, Views).
  • Vendor Master (Account Groups, Number Ranges, Partner Functions, Schema Groups).
  • Service Master.
  • Info Records (Pricing Conditions, Incoterms).
  • Source Lists and Quota Arrangements.
• Procurement Process Configuration:
  • Purchase Requisition (Document Types, Number Ranges, Release Strategy - thoroughly configured using classification and workflow).
  • Purchase Order (Document Types, Number Ranges, Output Determination, Release Strategy - thoroughly configured).
  • Request for Quotation (RFQ) and Quotation Processing.
  • Outline Agreements (Contracts and Scheduling Agreements - document types, conditions).
  • Pricing Procedures (Condition Types, Access Sequences, Schemas, Calculation Schemas).
  • Message Determination (Output Types, Access Sequences, Condition Records for PO, GR, IR).
• Inventory Management Configuration:
  • Movement Types (creation, modification, account grouping).
  • Goods Receipt (MIGO, GR against PO/Production Order, Stock Types).
  • Goods Issue (MIGO, GI to Cost Center/Production Order/Sales Order).
  • Stock Transfers (Intra/Inter-Company, One/Two-Step).
  • Reservations.
  • Physical Inventory (Cycle Counting, Annual Inventory).
  • Material Documents (Number Ranges, Field Selection).
• Invoice Verification Configuration (MM-IV):
  • Invoice Document Types, Number Ranges.
  • Tolerance Limits.
  • Blocking Reasons.
  • Evaluated Receipt Settlement (ERS).
  • Account Determination for GR/IR.
• Account Determination Configuration:
  • Detailed understanding and configuration of OBYC settings for G/L account determination in MM.
  • Valuation Classes, Account Grouping Codes.
• Valuation and Account Assignment Configuration:
  • Valuation Areas, Valuation Control.
  • Account Assignment Categories.
• Logistics Invoice Verification (LIV): Detailed knowledge of configuring the LIV process.
• Logistics General: Material Master configuration, Batch Management configuration (if applicable).
• Proven experience participating in at least one full lifecycle SAP S/4HANA implementation or significant S/4HANA migration project.
• Strong understanding of the differences between SAP ECC and S/4HANA MM functionalities, including simplifications, Fiori apps, and new capabilities.
• Familiarity with S/4HANA Simplification List pertaining to MM.
• Experience with integrated SAP modules (FI, SD, PP, WM/EWM) from an MM perspective.
• Knowledge of SAP Fiori applications relevant to MM and their configuration.

Education & Certifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field.
• SAP MM Certification (ECC or S/4HANA) is highly preferred.
