We are seeking a QA Automation Engineer (SDET) with strong experience in UI, API, and backend test automation within modern microservices-based environments.

Responsibilities

  • Quality Assurance & Testing

  • Execute test plans and functional, regression, integration, and UAT testing.

  • Validate API behavior using tools such as Postman, Swagger, or custom frameworks.

  • Automation Engineering

  • Build and maintain automation for UI, API, and backend using tools like Cypress, Playwright, Selenium, REST Assured, etc.

  • Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, GitLab, Jenkins, Azure DevOps, CircleCI).

  • Full-Stack Coverage

  • Test frontend applications (React, Angular, Vue) and validate backend logic and microservices.

  • Validate SQL/NoSQL databases, migrations, data integrity, and system data flows.

  • Engineering Collaboration

  • Work closely with developers to debug issues, reproduce defects, and perform root-cause analysis.

  • Participate in technical and architecture discussions to ensure system testability and release quality.

  • DevOps, Observability & Performance

  • Execute performance, load, and stress testing with tools like JMeter, K6, Locust, or Gatling.

  • Monitor logs and metrics using Datadog, ELK, Prometheus, Grafana, CloudWatch, or GCP Stackdriver.

  • Process & Documentation

  • Document test strategies, defect patterns, and automation architecture.

  • Lead quality reviews during sprint planning, grooming, and retrospectives

Requirements- Required

  • 3+ years of experience in QA Automation or Software Engineering in Test (SDET).
  • Strong experience in UI + API + backend automation.
  • Proficiency in at least one programming language (JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, Java, or Go).
  • Solid understanding of frontend and backend application architecture.
  • Experience testing microservices, distributed systems, and event-driven architectures.
  • Strong debugging, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
  • Fluent English - minimum B2 level.

  • Preferred

  • Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, or containerized environments.

  • Familiarity with contract testing (Pact, Hoverfly).
  • Experience with ETL, data pipelines, or ML/AI-powered systems.
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
