Job Summary
As an
Area Sales Manager
, you will lead and inspire a team of Account Managers within the travel tech industry, responsible for building and growing client partnerships. You will drive the execution of data-driven strategies across multiple product lines—including accommodation, mobility, experiences, luxury, fintech, and insurtech—ensuring alignment with corporate goals. Your leadership will be key to achieving acquisition and production targets, enhancing partner profitability, and turning clients into long-term advocates.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Strategy
- Coach and mentor Account Managers to foster a high-performance culture.
- Provide strategic direction on market trends, deal structuring, and client management.
- Drive team achievement of sales objectives and new product activation.
Sales Execution & Optimization
- Analyze data to identify growth opportunities and evaluate market dynamics.
- Translate insights into actionable strategies across HBX Group product lines.
- Support lead generation, client onboarding, and activation efforts.
Stakeholder Collaboration
- Build relationships across all levels of client organizations and internal teams.
- Influence cross-functional stakeholders to support growth initiatives.
- Provide feedback to improve reporting, processes, and operational efficiency.
Market Representation
- Represent HBX Group in the local market, participating in industry events and organizations.
- Strengthen the company's presence and reputation within your territory.
Required Skills
- Proven success in leading sales teams to exceed targets.

Required Tech Skills
- Proficiency in Salesforce CRM for forecasting and pipeline management.
- Experience with SalesLoft and BI tools like Tableau.
- Strong command of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
- Understanding of API functionality and travel tech platforms.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a relevant field.
- Minimum 10 years of total work experience, with 5+ years in sales, business development, or client relationship management.
- 5+ years of management experience leading high-performing teams.
- Fluent in English and source market language (essential).
- Willingness to travel up to 40% for client visits and meetings.
- Experience working in matrixed organizations.
- Existing network in travel, financial, or adjacent industries is a plus.
