The High School Early World History & Geography Teacher at ASFG is responsible for cultivating an intellectually rigorous and supportive learning environment for 9th-grade students. This role introduces students to the foundational concepts of world history, human geography, and global patterns, emphasizing the relationships between people, places, cultures, political systems, economies, and environments. The teacher will guide students in developing strong analytical, spatial reasoning, and historical thinking skills that prepare them for advanced coursework in the ASFG social studies sequence.
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in History, Geography, Social Studies Education, or a related field.
- Valid teaching certification.
- Minimum of 2 years of high school social studies teaching experience.
- Demonstrated knowledge of world history and introductory human geography frameworks (e.g., cultural patterns, political geography, population and migration, economic systems).
