ISP English Teacher Key Responsibilities
• Carry out the academic program of Writing and Speech
• Plan and prepare classes
• Review, correct, and grade units, notebooks, books, and assignments on a daily basis
• Prepare and administer exams
• Design and organize assemblies
• Record grades
• Formally follow up on student progress
• Provide academic reinforcement to students who require it
• Comply with safeguarding guidelines.
Skills, Qualifications and Experience
- Strong command of English language (grammar, vocabulary, and pronunciation).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Classroom management and student engagement strategies.
- Lesson planning, curriculum design, and assessment.
- Ability to adapt teaching methods to diverse learning styles and needs.
- Patience, creativity, and cultural awareness.
- Proficiency in educational technology and digital learning platforms.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in English, Education, Linguistics, or related field.
- Teaching certification or license (e.g., TESOL, TEFL, CELTA, or equivalent).
- Advanced proficiency in written and spoken English.
- Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection standards.
- Continuous professional development in teaching methodologies.
Experience
- Prior teaching experience in primary, secondary, or higher education settings.
- Experience preparing students for standardized exams (e.g., TOEFL, IELTS, Cambridge).
- Designing and delivering lessons for mixed-ability groups.
- Providing academic reinforcement and individualized support.
- Participation in school activities, assemblies, and extracurricular programs.
- Record-keeping, grading, and student progress reporting.
