About the Role

As a Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for ensure the accurate recording, control, and analysis of the company's financial information, guaranteeing full compliance with current accounting, tax, and legal regulations. This role is critical for providing reliable and timely financial intelligence to support strategic decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

• Complete the monthly accounting close within established deadlines.
• Submit financial reports to the corporate office.
• Oversee and ensure the integrity of the accounts payable and payroll processes.
• Ensure all municipal, state, and federal taxes are filed accurately and on time.
• Analyze and reconcile intercompany accounts, while monitoring loans and interest payments.
• Validate exchange rate fluctuations and ensure their correct reflection in the Financial Statements.
• Serve as the point of contact for Social Security, Housing Tax, and external (UHY) auditors.
• Conduct detailed expense analysis by cost center and department.
• Support the Plant Controller in the preparation of the annual budget and quarterly forecasts.
• Validate and track the financial impact of company savings projects.
• Lead the inventory and control of fixed assets across the company.
• Calculate and record sales in accordance with the Maquila contract.
• Generate monthly Maquiladora sales invoices.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in general accounting and federal/state tax preparation.
• Deep knowledge of current tax and accounting legislation.
• Proficiency in accounting ERP systems and standard office software.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and attention-to-detail skills.
• High standards of professional ethics and confidentiality in handling sensitive information.
• Mastery of accounting entries and complex account reconciliations.
• Solid knowledge of federal and state tax calculations (ISR, VAT/IVA, ISN, IMSS, INFONAVIT).
• Expertise in managing institutional and corporate portals, such as Buzón Tributario, IDSE, Escritorio Virtual, INFONAVIT, SAT, FONACOT, and the State of Chihuahua portal, as well as banking platforms.
• Comprehensive understanding of guidelines for Digital Tax Receipts (CFDI).
• Advanced Excel skills for data analysis, reconciliations, and information control.
• English proficiency (preferred) for technical reading and basic communication in accounting and tax matters.
• Strong problem-solving skills to resolve discrepancies in accounts and tax applications.

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Public Accounting or a related field.
