**EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED**:

- Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university
- 5 years of related experience and/or training in a similar environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, customers and suppliers.
- Excellent written and verbal skills English-Spanish

**RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Coordinate activities to procure goods and services, such as raw materials, equipment, tools, parts, supplies, and outsourcing to vendors.
- Confer with vendors to obtain product or service information including price, availability, lead times, delivery options and delivery schedules.
- Coordinate the acquisition of sample products for testing, observing, or examinination.
- Determine the best method of procurement, such as direct purchase, consignment or bid act accordingly.
- Review demand plans, issue standard and blanket purchase orders and make order releases as required.
- Discuss defective or unacceptable goods or services with inspection or quality control personnel, users, vendors, and others to determine source of trouble and take corrective action.
- Represent Purchasing in product development activities and coordinate new item sourcing activities as required.
- Coordinate the placement of volume purchases on key commodities as required.
- Work with suppliers and vendors to reduce material costs and delivery lead times.
- Participate in the review purchase order claims and contracts for conformance to company procedures.
- Participate in the preparation and auditing of purchasing systems, processes and procedures standard work documents.
- Participate in the execution of the supplier rating system process.
- Support the implementation of Kanban and Consignment systems as mandated.
