**Overview of Position**:
As part of the development of our growth strategy in Mexico, LRQA is looking for an experienced ASME Inspector with a valid National Board Card to be base in Monterrey area. This role has been created to provide a technical focal point for all ASME Inspection activites at LRQA Mexico, reporting to the Operations Manager - Inspection Services Norht America. The role requires a strong pressurized equipment technical background and sound market knowledge to support LRQA staff and our customers.

**Key Responsibilities**:
Deliver the ASME Inspection services as per LRQA procedures and best practices.

Support the Sales teams to help develop the ASME Inspection business, market and services.

Participate on ASME technical network to support surveyors and the business to drive technical performance and customer responsiveness.

Keeps track of lessons learned from investigations and shares those lessons with TQG team members and service/ sales delivery teams.

To pursue Continuing Professional Development and maintain a high degree of discipline knowledge and awareness.

Monitor and review health and safety performance, observe safety behaviours in the workplace, taking appropriate corrective and preventive action as necessary and suggesting and implementing improvement activities.

Continually seek opportunities to increase customer satisfaction and deepen client relationships.

**Technical / Professional Qualifications / Requirements**:
Educated to a minimum of Bachelor’s Degree level and equivalent to a Chartered Engineer (Civil, Electrical or Mechanical)

ASME Inspector with a valid National Board Card

Sound knowledge in materials, welding and NDT techniques

To assess the design, manufacture and in-service aspects of engineering assets, against agreed codes, standards, specifications, procedures, by using experience and knowledge appropriate for routine situations;
To perform assessments and provide advice for service delivery within agreed parameters that include budget constraints and contractual requirements;
To produce the deliverable within the agreed parameters in a defined format;
Good communication skills and fluent in English are essential and, mentor other surveyors within LRQA and represent the business to clients and on technical committees

Available to travel to perform surveys/inspections

Base location is flexible
