International Logistics Specialist

We are hiring an **International Logistics Specialist **tomonitor and influence the performance of air, ocean, drayage carriers, customs brokers, freight forwards and other 3rd party providers. Expedites and intercedes with the network flow of products when needed to ensure shipments are delivered complete and on time to our customer.

**What You Will Be Doing**

This person will work with materials management, transportation, various warehouses planners, OF, and third-party logistics providers. Implements carrier, lane and service recommendations that balance service and cost requirements. Monitors/verifies the status of international shipments in-transit for import parts, export parts, and export finished goods and intercedes with bottlenecks when applicable. Looks for opportunities to improve container utilization. Collects, analyses, and interprets logistics data. Creates and manages reports, database and metrics related to international shipments.

**Who You Are:
**Required Skills and Competencies
- Bachelor’s Degree in International Business, Supply Chain, Distribution, or related field.
- is a must.
- At least 3-7 years in a similar role or experience in a fast-paced distribution/cross-docking environment is a must.
- Previous Export experience is a must.
- Experience managing Microsoft Excel is a must.

- Strong analytical capabilities
- Knowledge of Distribution process, including supply chain, planning, scheduling, finance, and manufacturing.
- Basic knowledge of Transportation process.
- Basic financial skills.
- Must have strong verbal and presentation skills; to conduct meetings and make presentations to all levels of management.
- Must have excellent interpersonal skills.
- Able to build external relationships (customers and/or suppliers).
- Working knowledge of lean manufacturing principles.
- Able to work under pressure and meet deliverables.
- Able to understand the full scope and impact of assigned activities.
- Strong organizational skills with great attention to details.
- Self-Driven.
