Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Electrical Engineering or related degree (Master's Degree preferred)
- 2+ years of experience in Thermal Systems and/or Components or related experience
- Experience and/or knowledge of the following: worst case circuit analysis (WCCA), authoring engineering specifications, foundation documents (DFMEA, DVP, etc.), software reviews, EMC, NetCom, LIN, automotive safety
- Design and Release experience and vehicle launch experience a plus
- CAE/CFD knowledge/experience a plus
- Project Management degree or knowledge in planning and executing projects, agile methodology and risk management
- Knowledge of materials and manufacturing technologies related to climate control system components
- Knowledge of Teamcenter, TcVis Mockup and ability to move, align, modify and freeze components and assemblies
- Proven ability to participate effectively and lead cross-functional teams without formal authority
- Ability to work in non-structured environment where creativity and a start-up mentality is encouraged
- Motivation to work in a fast-moving environment
- Demonstrated ability to resolve complex issues and effectively communicate to management
- Demonstrated ability to effectively represent the company and interact with suppliers
- Ability to communicate clearly and express new ideas to all levels of management.
- Demonstrated delivery of results

- Knowledge of Project, Excel, Word, and Outlook

Key responsibilities include:

- Lead core engineering development of thermal systems electrical components and sensors
- Author Engineering specifications and foundation documents (DFMEA, DVP, etc.) for electromechanical components for all Ford global programs
- Lead in creating sourcing quote package and technical assessment of suppliers including qualification of local suppliers for global supplier localization efforts
- Leading the implementation of new suppliers and technologies with efficient program management techniques
- Create, update and monitor modular catalog of parts for vehicle usages
- Support Worst Case Circuit Analysis (WCCA) with technical experts, Software reviews, NetCom diagnostics, EMC reviews and represent thermal systems component team in safety related activities
- Identify, monitor and mitigate project risks during new supplier implementation
- Review and approve DV (Design Verification) and PV (Product Validation) plans and develop commodity business plans
- Capture lessons learned and develop test plans, requirements and specifications
- Hands on troubleshooting component sub system and vehicle issues
- Track and provide ED&T (Engineering, Design and Testing) estimates for component and system development
- Support resolution of manufacturing issues
