IT Security Analyst Sr

We are hiring an
**IT Security Analyst Sr** who will fill an IT strategic position as part of the Security Operations Center (SOC) team to be based in Monterrey, Mexico.

**What You Will Be Doing**:

- Analyzes data from a variety of cyber defense tools (e.g., IDS/IPS alerts, firewalls, network traffic logs, SIEM, etc.) and uses this data to mitigate threats in the environment.
- Responds to crisis or urgent cyber events to mitigate immediate and potential threats.
- Maintains and follows documented processes (playbooks) for events.
- Maintains, operates, and troubleshoots network and system security tools (e.g., firewalls, VPN, WAFs, reverse proxies, IPAM, etc.). Ensures availability of security tools.
- Assesses systems and networks and identifies deviations from acceptable configurations or policies. Measures effectiveness of architecture against known vulnerabilities.
- Maintains compliance with relevant controls and regulations.
- Provides guidance in optimizing and improving tools and processes including, but not limited to, tuning sensors, automation, building and monitoring controls, negotiation with other teams, vendor management, and assessing new products for fit.

**Who You Are**:
**Required Skills and Competencies**
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Software Engineering or related required.
- Advanced English is a must.
- 5 Years of experience in a similar role.
- Advanced Knowledge of:
ü Fortinet products (Firewall, WAF, Analyzer, Manager)

ü Antivirus-EDR. Trend Micro preferable

ü Microsoft Windows Server 2016, 2019.

ü IIS / Apache

ü Linux Servers

ü Programming languages: Powershell, Python and Bash.

ü DNS

ü Darktrace (IDS/IPS)

ü SIEM

ü SOAR

ü Cloud Security

**Preferred Skills and Competencies**
- Ability to design incident response for cloud and hybrid architectures.
- Ability to recognize and react to cyber-attack stages.
- Skill in identifying, capturing, containing, and reporting malware.
- Skill in securing network communications.
- Knowledge of penetration testing principles, tools, and techniques.
- Knowledge of cyber defense and information security policies, procedures, and regulations.
- Knowledge of risk management processes (assess and mitigate).
- Knowledge of data security standards for sensitive data (PII, PCI, PHI, etc.)
