Technical Solutions Engineer Ii, Networking, Google

**Minimum qualifications**:

- Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, or equivalent practical experience.
- 6 years of experience reading code in a general purpose coding language (e.g., Java, C, C++, Python, Shell, Go, JavaScript) or in system design.
- 6 years of experience with 2 or more of the following: Web Tech, Data/Big Data, Systems Admin, Machine Learning, Networking, Kubernetes, Oracle, SAP.
- Ability to communicate in English fluently to support client relationship management in this region.

**Preferred qualifications**:

- Experience designing and implementing live media or video on demand workflows.
- Experience using techniques such as packet capture/packet analysis, artificial packet creation, load testing, and traffic path analysis to troubleshoot network latency, packet loss, and other performance issues at the packet level.
- Experience with broadcast, network or streaming operations with a focus on operational efficiency.
- Experience as a system/network administrator working with Linux/Unix or Windows systems.
- Knowledge of networking fundamentals (Load Balancing, Cloud Storage, Peering, TCP\IP etc.).
- Knowledge of basic web technologies (HTTP, HTML, DNS, TCP, etc.).

In this role, you will manage customer issues in addition to providing level two support to our other Support teams.You will be a part of a global team that provides support to help customers seamlessly make the switch to Google Cloud. You will troubleshoot technical issues for customers with a mix of debugging, networking, system administration, documentation updating, and coding/scripting. You will make our products easier to adopt and to use by making improvements to the product, tools, processes, and documentation. **Responsibilities**:

- Manage the customer’s issues through accurate diagnosis, resolution, or implementation of new investigation tools to increase productivity for customer issues on Google Cloud Platform products.
- Develop knowledge of Google's product technology and underlying architectures by troubleshooting, reproducing, determining the root cause for customer reported issues, and building tools for diagnosis.
- Understand customer issues and advocate for their needs with cross-functional teams including product and engineering teams to find ways to improve the product, and drive high-quality production.
- Work as part of a team of Engineers/Consultants that globally ensure 24 hour customer support. This will include a need to sometimes work non-standard work hours or shifts.
