**About the role**:
In a Corporate Counsel role, you will manage legal business matters to protect the enterprise’s rights in contract negotiations business practices and litigation. As part of a legal team, your focus will be essentially on contract negotiations and payment legal framework legal advice. You will also provide support on employment law, corporate compliance, litigation support, intellectual property and AML.

**What you will be doing**:

- Prepare and negotiate contracts while providing legal advice and counsel to business units in areas that include payment industry, software licensing, data security, privacy and regulatory matters.
- Performing legal analysis on commercial and payment industry contracts.
- Advise colleagues on legal issues relating to commercial contracts, product development, corporate governance and compliance.

**What you will need**:

- Experience drafting payment services agreements, fintech agreements and general commercial contracts
- Strong contract negotiation skills and knowledge on fintech and payments Mexican laws.
- Ability to review and evaluate multi-faceted issues and counsel business colleagues on complex legal questions relating to various business matters.
- A college degree and a Juris Doctor from an accredited US law school in Mexico
- Licensed to practice law in Mexico
