Job Description
- Bose Corporation is seeking an experienced electro-mechanical validation/test engineer to plan and execute the electrical, mechanical and environmental validation testing for Automotive Division products in our Engineering and Manufacturing facility in Tijuana, Mexico.
- Specific Responsibilities:
- Create validation plans based on OEM specifications and negotiate the plans with customer teams and OEM customer.Lead and/or actively participate in structured problem solving and failure analysis in order to obtain root cause and determine corrective actions.-
- Prepare and approve test reports that accurately document test conditions, results, and findings.Review new/revised OEM test specifications and provide gap/risk analysis assessments to key stakeholders. Create and document new test procedures as needed.-
- Initiate and implement improvement projects to add capabilities, improve quality, or reduce costs of testing and related departmental processes.-
- Support the development of local test capabilities to meet automotive validation requirements.-
- Travel up to 10% in support of training and projects.**Skills**: - Experience - 5+ years of electrical, mechanical, climatic, and reliability testing experience.-
- Strong level of product testing experience including the operation of a wide variety of mechanical and electrical test equipment is required.-
- Familiarity with LabView/TestStand or other test software development experience preferred.-
- Experience with Klippel, Audio Precision, or other acoustic measurement equipment preferred.-
- Audio and acoustic component (speakers, enclosures, etc....) experience preferred.-
- Automotive experience is preferred.-
- Lean/5S experience preferred.-
- Failure analysis experience is preferred.-
- Strong communication skills (both verbal and written) and excellent interpersonal skills are required.-
- Must have a flexible style that accommodates working on multiple projects in collaboration with members of various organizations and project teams.-
- Must be a self-starter who performs well under limited guidance, is detail-oriented, and has a strong commitment to project deadlines.-
- Must be fluent in English.- Education:
- BS in mechanical/electrical engineering or related discipline required.
