Position Summary
The Demand planner Mex & LATAM is responsible for the management process of forecasting by predicting the demand for products and ensure they can be delivered to our end customers. The goal is to strike a balance between having sufficient inventory levels to meet customer needs without having a surplus of inventory while providing clear vision on the allocations process.
Key activities include gathering business inputs, analysing forecast accuracy, optimizing the demand plan, and preparing presentations to support monthly demand review meetings. In collaboration with the commercial teams, marketing, commercial finance, and supply chain you make sure all business inputs are reflected in the demand plan, while keeping aligned with our control team.
Job Description
- Develop effective demand forecast (min 12 months) for the full portfolio using statistical models, commercial input, market knowledge and customer history trends.
- Work effectively cross-functionally with sales, marketing, finance, and logistic teams to understand the demand forecasting drivers.
- Pro-actively communicates challenges and is highly solution oriented with communications.
- Monitor and report on important changes in sales forecasts, budgets, and business strategies and make sure they are translated to required actions and reflect the changes during the LE’s process.
- Coordinate and lead the S&OP process.
- Develop and maintain all S&OP planning tools and templates
- Lead GAP assessment meetings.
- Coordinate all inputs and prepare Executive S&OP presentation with recommendations
- Ensure monthly S&OP forecast fully aligns with production forecast
- Submit monthly production and shipment forecast and communicate approved forecast to all teams involved.
- Align Trade promotion plans with the customer inventory levels and current demand trend as well as with the budget plans.
- Monthly conduct and review sales data and customer inventory levels against forecasts and documents corrective action to forecast.
- Work closely with Commercial Finance and supply chain analyst to understand the allocation and shipments timelines and ensure timely communication to commercial team with regards to the risks and opportunities.
Skills and Experience
- Requires a Bachelor’s Degree.
- 6-8 years of supply chain experience with preference in the Spirits Industry
- Fluent in English is essential
- High degree expertise in Excel is required and desirable experience with SAP.
- Leadership skills are essential.
- Excellent analytical skills which include expertise in statistical data analysis and modelling.
- Solid understanding of inventory management practices and procedures
- Excellent networking and interpersonal skills are required.
- Capability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to analyse complex business issues and make decisions that drive the company’s success. (Move between strategy and execution)
