**The Opportunity**:
Our client, a manufacturing facility located in Mexico, has partnered with ML6 in their search for an Inventory Manager to join their team In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient flow of materials and products, managing inventory levels, inspecting the company's supply and raw material levels to detect shortages. Ensuring that product stocks are adequate for all distribution channels and can meet customer demand.
**What You'll Be Doing**:
- Develop and implement strategies for materials planning, procurement, and inventory management.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to determine the material requirements based on production schedules and forecasts.
- Monitor inventory levels to ensure optimal stock availability while minimizing carrying costs.
- Record daily deliveries and shipments to reconcile inventory.
- Maintain precise control of product and floor consumables, establishing minimums and maximums, and request the acquisition of the articles from the purchasing area.
- Analyze data to anticipate future needs
- Monitor supplier performance, resolve any issues, and implement improvement plans as needed.
- Collaborate with production, quality assurance, and engineering teams to address material-related concerns and drive continuous improvement.
- Oversee the warehouse operations, including receiving, storing, and dispatching of materials and finished goods.
- Implement efficient inventory control processes, including cycle counts, stock replenishment, and obsolescence management.
- Optimize warehouse layout and material handling procedures to maximize efficiency and minimize errors.
- Coordinate and assign work to the Materials Preparation team to have the necessary prepared materials for supply to production.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and company policies related to materials, logistics, safety and quality.
- Maintain accurate records of inventory, materials transactions, and transportation activities.
- Prepare reports and metrics related to materials and logistics operations for management review.
**What You'll Need to Be Successful**:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, or a related field.
- Proven experience as an Inventory Manager or similar position.
- Advanced Conversational/Written English.
- Excellent knowledge of data analysis and forecasting methods.
- Working knowledge of inventory management software (e.g. ERP)
- Ability to accurately track inventory and create reports
- An analytical mind with strong mathematical skills.
- Excellent organizational and planning skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Attention to detail and a focus on accuracy.
