Senior Lead Accountant

**Minimum qualifications**: - Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, or equivalent practical experience. - Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Chartered Accountant (CA), or Contador Publico Certificado (CPC). - 7 years of experience in accounting or a related function, or 5 years with an advanced degree in accounting, business, or finance. - Experience with accounting principles (e.g., IFRS, US GAAP, and MEX GAAP). - Ability to communicate in English and Spanish fluently to engage with local stakeholders. **Preferred qualifications**: - Experience with spread-sheet technology. - Experience with SQL and SAP Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP). - Knowledge of internal controls and compliance. - Ability to propose next steps and solutions, anticipate questions and challenges, manage time, and support work plans. **About the job**: Google accountants are a savvy bunch who handle the core accounting responsibilities at Google. From developing forward-thinking analysis to generating management reports to scaling our automated financial processes, the Finance organization is an important partner and advisor to the business. **Responsibilities**: - Perform Profit and Loss and Balance Sheet analysis to support monthly process, prepare Financial Analysis, Management Reports, Statutory Financial Statements according to IFRS Review, and approve reconciliations. - Participate in ongoing policy, system, and control improvements, review and post entries including intercompany transactions, interest on loans, and more, and comply with local tax regulations. - Guide the business to mitigate risk, support quality decision making, and help build the financial infrastructure to scale in support of the business. - Manage Audit deliverables, external audit management, and follow up. - Manage the delivery of accounting and tax processes performed by external vendors ensuring that all service levels are met and quality service is provided.
