We are hiring a **Senior Accountant Analyst** who will be primarily responsible of the accounting function of the Steelcase manufacturing plants.

**Primary Responsibilities**:

- Manage daily accounting operations: Handle various ERP transactions including accruals, amortizations, reclassifications, and allocations.
- Prepare Balance Sheet account reconciliations: Ensure accuracy and completeness of financial records.
- Conduct Balance Sheet reviews and P&L trend analysis: Explain variance drivers and determine corrective actions as needed.
- Execute month-end close processes: Support corporate reporting and statutory financial statement preparation for Mexico and US GAAP ledgers.
- Support internal and external audits: Provide necessary documentation and respond to audit inquiries.
- Contribute to the implementation of controls and process standardization: Improve efficiency and compliance.
- Collaborate with plant finance operations teams: Enhance communication and coordination.
- Respond to financial information requests from various stakeholders: Provide timely and accurate data as needed.

**Who You Are**:
**Required Skills and Competencies**
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting required.
- Minimum of 3 years of applicable work experience.
- Experience working within a Maquiladora environment, preferably.
- Evidence of ability to speak and write in intermediate-advanced English.
- Proficient with Microsoft Excel.

**Preferred Skills and Competencies**
- Knowledge of SAP or similar ERP-system, preferred.
- Ability to recognize and suggest opportunities for continuous process improvement and ability to interact with various levels of the organization to communicate problems and risks
- Ability to work on a team and lead assigned areas; ability to meet time limits and proactively communicate issues as they arise
- Technical Skills - Demonstrates detailed knowledge of accounting and experience in preparing financial analysis reports
- Are you willing to learn office functions and knowledgeable of all assigned areas? strong business knowledge that can be adapted to various situations to enable problem-solving
- Possesses a high degree of analytical skillset. Can settle causes of more sophisticated problems and implement solutions as requested that align with the overall Finance and business strategy; ability to think critically and strategize with every level of Steelcase to achieve results
- Effective communicator to different leaders and individual contributors of the company; experience in communicating with both internal and external stakeholders; comfortable in expressing dissenting points of view, ability to communicate rationale in a professional manner; can lead meetings/presentations and offer poignant insights to those in the organization
