Job Summary
To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add an EH&S Engineer located in Tijuana, B.C.
Reporting to the EH&S Manager, the EH&S Engineer role involves.
What a typical day looks like:
- Coordination of Environmental Health & Safety (EH&S) programs in site and off the site when required.
- Oversee proper maintenance of buildings, furniture and fixtures in accordance with federal, state and local regulations.
- Coordination all incident investigation, identify root causes and ensure action plan for reduce risks.
- Provide direction to employees according to established policies and management guidance and act as advisor to unit or sub-units and get involved as required to meet schedules or resolve problems.
- Strong knowledge of environmental safety policies, controls, and regulations.
- Strong knowledge in the handling of chemicals, audits, and their control.
- Strong knowledge in risk assessment.
- EHS internal training (Industrial Safety, Civil Protection, Environment, health).
- Knowledge in the implementation and certification of ISO 14001-2015.
- Function as emergency coordinator and develop/drive emergency response/business continuity initiatives.
The experience we’re looking to add to our team:
- Intermediate English.
- Typically requires a bachelor’s degree
- Experience in Sustainability, EH&S and knowledge of related regulations, codes, and guidelines.
- Previous experience in EH&S, renewable energy, water conservation and sustainability activities within a manufacturing environment preferred.
- Ability to read, analyze and interpret safety guidelines, general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
