**Job Description**:
Planner/Buyer Coordinator is responsible to manage the planning and procurement processes that support the operations on the location ensuring to maximize production efficiency, optimize inventory control and committing with customer requirements on delivery. Support on the customer and supplier relationship management to align supply and demand for the operation.
- Ensure that the planning team of the site create and maintain the production plans on the Value Streams assigned according to the existing procedures and systems.
- Set the correct systems to achieve the metrics of delivery to customer and inventories, ensuring to set the goals to the planning team.
- Analyze with the team the Pareto data of backlog for the site, driving the analysis process and corrective plans for the site.
- Ensure buyers are following with MRP signals to refill raw material and components items to meet production schedule.
- Track with planners the inventory control of materials and components, ensuring the resolution of discrepancies and implementing corrective actions.
- Implement actions that support the Inventory metrics from the Division.
- Review the open work in process and open purchase orders reports to ensure the planners are properly managing the system on their value streams.
- Coordinate on demand´s analysis and implement inventory strategies with planners to support operational goals.
- Coordinate on the supply chain activities, related to the transfer of new production lines.
- Coordinate on the introduction & training for new supply chain employees (planner/buyer, interns) on the site.
- Coordinate the supply chain Planner Buyer Jr and intern’s projects; follow up on their performance and evaluation.
- May supervise other team members and prioritize team member tasks.
- Supervises the day-to-day activities in material management to ensure inventory levels and material flow meets current and future production needs.
- Instills and maintains a positive can-do team atmosphere within the Value Stream
- Monitors the material storage and space utilization and makes recommendations.
- Develop procedures to support planning / supply chain operation on the site if needed.
- Support HPT culture.
- Participate in cost reduction and continuous improvement activities and projects such as Kaizen and HPT’s
- Promote a HPT work culture through participation in accordance with their role as a star point.

**Qualifications**
- Engineering or administrative bachelor’s degree.
- Minimum 4 years of experience in supply chain areas: Procurement, Warehouse and Inventories, Production Control, Manufacturing processes, Continues improvement and cost reduction projects.
