**JOB PURPOSE**:
This is a staff position which is expected to function as a specialist with respect to a specific technical phase of the planning function and which generally falls within the major areas of releasing, Numerical Controls (NC) programming, processing, assembly processing, layout, work standards and manufacturing development.

**JOB DUTIES**:
The manufacturing engineer will:

- Implement creative solutions and validate effectiveness of changes including documentation and training of those improvements.
- Identify root causes and implement corrective actions to address Safety, Quality, Velocity, and Cost opportunities identified through projects.
- Develop machining process, including standard work, tooling, quality controls for internally manufactured components.
- Develop and execute new capital implementation (NCI) process for precision machined components.
- Analyze tooling failures and evaluate tool characteristics and requirements
- Analyze and recommend current and future systems, procedures, training, and equipment needs based upon understanding and communication with shop floor operators, Operations staff, Safety and CPPD (Concurrent Process and Product Development) with design engineering.
- Adheres to established standards, policies and practices relating to quality, cost reduction, safety, ergonomics, etc. in performing assigned duties.

**BACKGROUND/EXPERIENCE**:
**Basic Qualifications**:

- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or Manufacturing Engineering
- 3+ years of manufacturing engineering experience
- Basic knowledge of component machining and grinding concepts.
- Basic experience with CNC programming
- Basic experience with CAD modeling
- Basic experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
- Basic experience with reading and interpreting engineering prints
- This position requires English
- Experience with designing requirements and managing implementation of capital assets
- Experience with CQMS certification requirements, NPI, APQP, and PPAP processes (Control Plans, PFMEA, Process Flow Diagrams)
- Basic experience with Siemens NX
