In Continental, LiDAR teams work daily to make mobility safer by developing driver assistance systems (ADAS) using sensors (camera, radar, lidar) to understand the environment.

We are looking for an Algorithm Developer Engineer, responsible for the design, development, and maintenance of core features in 3D LIDAR sensor.

**Activities**:

- Development and design of image processing, perception and visual recognition algorithms and methods from concept phase to series production for the Continental ADAS LIDAR development
- Prototype implementation, documentation, and validation
- Enhancement and optimization of existing algorithms
- Performance evaluation and optimization
- Concept alignment with target platform requirements (runtime, memory consumption)
- Alignment with project development regarding release planning, performance targets, and project milestones
- Review of and alignment to customer requirements

**Qualifications**:
Basic Qualifications

Bachelors degree in Computer science, Mechatronics Engineering, Physics or similar

Good C and C++ programming skills, preferable for embedded systems

Effective communication in English (TOEIC 700+)

Strong research and problem solving skills

Strong teamwork and cooperation

Preferred Qualifications

M.S./Ph.D. in Computer Science/Mechatronics Engineering/Physics or equivalent degree or experience

Fluent communication in English (TOEIC 900+)

Excellent C and C++ Programming skills

Scripting language knowledge such as Python

Practical experience in computer vision, image processing, perception, visual recognition and related mathematics.

Practical experience in Image processing, 2D Signal Processing, 3D Point Cloud Processing, Computer Vision, Blockage Detection or Intrinsic Calibration

Experience working with Agile Framework
