Requisition ID: 36271- Job Location(s): Apodaca, MXDanfoss is looking for a Scrap Supervisor, **The Scrap **Supervisor is** a key position in the operation of EHS and waste management, he is responsible for ensuring the correct management of the Scrap area, ensuring the correct sorting, weighing, recording and disposal of the waste delivered by the operational areas, ensures that the waste operators work efficiently and always carry out the activities under the guidelines of the Waste Workers. security, maintains order and cleanliness of the area, ensures the request for collections from suppliers, follows up on scheduled collections, keeps a correct record of logs and waste manifests, ensures regulatory compliance of the scrap operation, attends to the operational needs or internal customers and communicates any possible affectation, deviation, need and/or problem to the EHS Manager and/or Specialist. **Responsibilities**: Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to, the following. - Ensures the correct disposal of waste according to internal procedures, correctly classifying according to Hazardous Waste, Special Handling, Municipal Solid Waste, etc. - Ensures timely and proper attention to the reception of waste and/or collection in the operational areas that merit it to avoid affecting the operation. - Performs the administrative procedures of Scrap management, including Weighing, Records, Logs, Manifests, Tickets, Reports, among others to ensure correct regulatory compliance with waste disposal. - Requests waste collections from suppliers and promptly follow up on them to ensure proper disposal and operation of the area. - Responsible for the management, payroll, training, roles and operation of Scrap personnel, ensuring a safe, efficient, ethical and honest operation, as well as creating a correct work environment that favors the permanence of the staff - Ensures compliance with safety guidelines in its operation and its personnel, ensures the conditions of the area so that no risks are generated for personnel, reports any abnormality / operation that may generate a risk for personnel and/or facilities - Ensures, maintains and promotes a correct culture of Safety, Health and Environment with its staff and operational staff, carrying out tours and feedback to staff for the correct compliance with the guidelines - Ensures that correct documentation is carried including Weighing, Records, Logs, Manifests, Receipts, Reports, among others to ensure correct regulatory compliance with waste disposal. - Makes the reports corresponding to the weekly/monthly dispositions to the areas of EHS, Finance, Operations in a timely manner." - Carry out daily Walks/Gembas to ensure the correct conditions of the Scrap area/yard, validating the protection of materials, avoiding accumulation of material, inadequate classification of waste, risk conditions, and/or any abnormality, etc. - Ensures that it has all the documentation, operating conditions and knowledge of the staff to respond to audits of our ISO 14001 management system and/or any others that arise." - Responds immediately to an emergency situation in accordance with internal procedures to safeguard the integrity of personnel and facilities - It prevents any type of Safety, Health and/or Environmental incident from occurring in its personnel and/or personnel who interact in the Scrap/Waste area, ensuring an operation in accordance with internal guidelines and operational controls, as well as reporting any situation that could represent a risk in the area or personnel. **Background & Skills**: - Tech School - Bachelor's Degree -Engineering - 3 years of experience in area/position - Knowledge of Official Mexican Standards related to Safety and Waste Management - Strong competencies and experience in waste management and customer focus - Experience receiving audits (e.g..ISO 14001, environmental authorities, etc.) - "Formal training/knowledge about Emergency Response - (Hazardous Materials Handling)" - Equipment/Personnel Management - Proven experience in multinational manufacturing, automotive, chemical industry, with 500+ employees - Experience in waste management companies - Waste Classification (CRETIB) - WMS - ISO 14001 / ISO 45001 - Microsoft office - Excel **Employee Benefits**: We are excited to offer you the following benefits with your employment: - Competitive Salary - Christmas Bonus - Food Vouchers - Saving Fund - Major and Minor Medical Insurance - Career Development **Danfoss - Engineering Tomorrow**: At Danfoss, we are engineering solutions that allow the world to use resources in smarter ways - driving the sustainable transformation of tomorrow.
