Descripción y detalle de las actividades- Ensure compliance with company policies, legal regulations and internal standards in safety, hygiene, occupational health and environmental management, promoting a preventive culture that minimizes occupational risks and environmental impact.
- Supervise and ensure compliance with applicable regulations in safety, hygiene, occupational health and environment.
- Follow up on procedures and issuance of licences, permits and authorisations with various authorities such as Civil Protection, Fire Department, the Labour Ministry (STPS), environmental agencies, among others.
- Identify hazards, assess risks, propose and monitor corrective and preventive actions
- Develop, coordinate and deliver training plans in safety, hygiene, occupational health, environment and emergency response.
- Develop and manage action plans for crisis situations (incidents, emergencies, spills, accidents) ensuring proper containment and recovery measures are implemented.
- Conduct regular inspections and walkthroughs of facilities, equipment, machinery and working conditions to detect unsafe conditions or environmental impact.
- Lead and actively participate in multifunctional emergency brigades (evacuation, first aid, fire-fighting, spill control, etc.).
- Coordinate with contractors, suppliers and all operational levels to ensure compliance with EHS standards and company policies.
- Maintain and update documentation, records and key performance indicators (KPIs) for safety, health/hygiene and environment; prepare reports for senior management.
- Support implementation and maintenance of management systems (for example ISO 14001, ISO 45001) or equivalent internal EHS systems.
- Promote a safety, hygiene and environmental-care culture among employees, encouraging participation, communication and continuous improvement.
- Oversee the management of waste, emissions, effluents and hazardous materials, ensuring compliance with current legal and environmental requirements.Experiência y requisitos- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Safety & Hygiene, Occupational Health or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in similar roles in safety, hygiene, occupational health and environment, preferably in industrial or construction settings.
- Strong knowledge of Mexican regulations in occupational safety and health (e.g., NOM-035-STPS-2018, NOM-031-STPS-2011) and environmental regulation; and international standards such as ISO 14001 and ISO 45001.
- Leadership skills, effective verbal and written communication, teamwork, and ability to coordinate across operational levels and external agencies.
- Proficient computer skills in office tools (e.g., Microsoft Office - Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and use of EHS management systems.
- Advance level of English; experience in internal/external EHS audits; internal auditor certification in ISO 14001/45001.
