Senior Analyst, Real-time Payments Platform Engineering & Operations

Job Summary
Real-time Payments Platform Engineering & Operations Senior Analyst leads a team responsible for the comprehensive lifecycle management of Mastercard’s mission-critical On-premise Real-time Payment technology environments (e.g., SPEI). This role requires a blend of deep technical expertise, operational management, and people leadership to ensure optimal performance, security, availability, and efficiency of these complex payment platforms.

Key Responsibilities
- Coordinates and manages the building and maintaining of Mastercard's Onprem Realtime Payment technology environments (SPEI), including associated software products
- Resolves chronic complex problems, providing managerial operational support to maintain systems and platforms
- Monitors performance to identify areas of concern and participates in the planning and implementation of updates to optimize performance
- Assists with process improvement efforts to identify and test opportunities for automation and/or reduction in time to deployment
- Assesses Mastercard's security to ensure effective safeguard processes are in place and operational platforms are running effectively for hosted production systems
- Performs lifecycle management for supported hardware platforms, including technical refresh planning and capacity upgrades
- Participates in the planning and implementation of system/platform updates to optimize performance, efficiency, and capacity
- Performs holistic platform security posture which includes identifying risks, escalating potential concerns, and implementing both risk mitigation plans and control functions
- Completes status reports, troubleshooting guides, and project plans to provide in-depth technical assistance to development programmers and customers
- May perform financial planning, forecasting, and budget tracking to reduce total cost of ownership and allocate resources efficiently
- Manages a team, conducts goal setting and performance appraisal processes, mentors and coaches top talent within own team

Required Skills & Experience
- Database Administration & Connectivity: Solid experience managing and maintaining enterprise databases, ensuring secure and efficient connectivity across platforms. Ability to troubleshoot and optimize database performance in high-availability environments.
- System Administration & Enterprise Monitoring: Proven expertise in administering complex systems and implementing enterprise-grade monitoring solutions to ensure uptime, performance, and proactive issue resolution.
- IT Service Management & Infrastructure Implementation: Hands-on experience with ITSM frameworks and tools, supporting service delivery and incident management. Skilled in planning and executing infrastructure deployments, upgrades, and integrations.
- Quality Assurance & System Integration: Familiarity with QA methodologies and tools to validate system reliability and performance. Experience integrating diverse systems and platforms to support seamless operations and data flow.
- Technology Asset Management & Datacenter Facilities Oversight: Ability to manage technology assets throughout their lifecycle, including procurement, tracking, and disposal. Experience overseeing datacenter operations, ensuring compliance with safety, security, and efficiency standards.
- Technical Documentation & Architecture Design: Strong technical writing skills to produce clear documentation, troubleshooting guides, and operational manuals. Experience contributing to architecture design for scalable, secure, and resilient network systems.
- Data Security & Problem Solving: Deep understanding of data protection principles and risk mitigation strategies. Demonstrated ability to identify and resolve complex technical issues across infrastructure and network layers.
- Soft Skills & Collaboration: Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills. Ability to work cross-functionally and mentor junior team members while driving continuous improvement.
- Location & Language: You currently live in Mexico City and are available to attend the office three times per week. You are able to communicate in English at an advanced level.
