2025 Strategic Finance Internship, Mexico

**About the Internship*** Uber's Strategic Finance team is uniquely positioned to have transparency into Uber's overall global business and to use financial & operational data to reach insights others might not be able to make. The team is responsible for working closely with cross-functional teams to support financial planning, tracking key financial metrics, driving efficiency, and making product and business recommendations. In this role, you will have the opportunity to support one of our high growth businesses and use insights to help Uber prioritize initiatives and reach conclusions. As part of the program, your deliverable will be a business recommendation to the Strategic Finance Leadership team. This position is based in our Mexico City headquarters. **What You'll Do** - **Financial Planning**: B e part of the team that is responsible for financial planning, forecasting, reporting, and analysis for Uber's global business - **Financial Modeling**: Build intricate financial models from scratch, improve existing models, and break complex models down into component parts - **Operational Excellence**: Lead initiatives that help us scale from startup to enterprise - **Work closely with accounting **to provide input on management reporting needs and better understand our actuals - **Develop your understanding of SQL **and big data" and use this to build reports and sophisticated financial analysis/models - **Be creative, adaptive**, and eager to learn new technical abilities; **Basic Qualifications*** - Currently enrolled in a Bachelors or Masters degree program in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a similar field **( graduation date June/July 2025 ) **- Basic knowledge of GAAP and experience with Excel/Google Sheets - **English proficiency**: Able to present ideas in a comprehensive, yet succinct manner - **Work authorization in Mexico** (No sponsorship available) **Preferred Qualifications*** - Proven understanding of GAAP, enterprise-level financial planning systems, SQL, and/or statistical software packages - Excellent analytical thinking and interpersonal skills - Ability to structure effective presentations - Attention to detail and ability to execute in a fast-paced environment - Self-starter-you take initiative, set goals, and meet them We offer a competitive monthly internship allowance, Uber credits, and much more You have the rare chance to create a global impact - we're moving real people and assets and reinventing transportation and logistics. This is a two-year rotational program providing a breadth of core financial and analytical skills as well as interpersonal and stakeholder management skills that will serve as an excellent foundation for a career in finance and strategic business partnering at Uber. The program is based at our Brazil headquarters and includes exposure to four areas of our business. Upon completion, SFDPs move into non-rotating Associate roles within Uber.
