The person in this position will support the R&D Finance team, providing high-quality services, performing daily global approach for conducting financial planning, reporting, and analysis activities within R&D Centers of Excellence (COEs) functions Headquarters, Chief Medical Office, Medical Safety, Medical Affairs, R&D Strategy/Realization, Project Management and Facility operations.

How You Will Make a Difference
- Key responsibilities_
- Lead month end process for COE functions, demonstrating business understanding, curiosity, and conveying explanations and actions in an effective manner
- Lead forecasting, annual budgeting, Strat Plan, and performance management processes
- Act as Finance liaison with COEs key functional leads, as well as partnering with the Alliances group to manage external collaborations, review and approval of new contract, capital, and purchase order requests
- Ensure adequate accounting, reporting, and controlling systems are in place to reach adequate levels of forecast accuracy, to be able to timely identify and inform of potential risks and opportunities and to ensure delivery of productivity targets
- Disciplined use of financial systems (ASPIRE, APMR, SAP, etc.) to manage and perform analytical analysis of financial results
- Ownership and accountability of data integrity
- Identify, prioritize, and lead process improvements to drive value creation
- Support Director of Finance, including template design, ad-hoc analysis, etc.

- Requirements_
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related, Master’s degree desirable
- 5- 8 years of relevant experience in the area
- Proficient in financial systems and can identify and retrieve cost information at a granular level.
- Prior finance operational experience with practical knowledge of relevant processes and shared service experience a plus
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a multi-national, matrix organization, exhibiting leadership qualities
- Excellent people and communication skills
- Ability to critically review and improve initiative metrics
- Strong analytical capabilities
- Problem solving mindset, with a strong passion for driving a simplification agenda
- Ability to work in a very demanding and resource constraint environment
- Proven track record for achievement, results-oriented
- Full professional proficiency in English language
