**Specific functions and activities**:
Generate proposal for improvements to the product and therefore to the process to optimize the profit margin in the final cost of the product. Development, configuration and optimization of industrial processes, from initial steps to final (actual launch of project or production requests). Process evaluation, measurement and data interpretation. Design, execution, testing and updating of systems and processes.

Reach the maximum rate of production by reducing times and making the most of the use of resources by eliminating processes that do not add value to the product.

**Specific responsibilities**:

- Works with engineering team (design department) on new product launches and procedures.
- Capable to work on a multidisciplinary team to select materials and manufacturing processes for new products.
- Determines bills of materials, labor operations and production standards for all components and finish goods.
- Calculate individual part sizes, quantities and weights for manufactured components.
- Use and practice standard engineering techniques, procedures and criteria to follow up engineering work orders or engineering changes (ECN’s) to make them happen on time. Tools use are, but not limited to: Problem solving methodology (PDCA), 8D’s, Lean, Project management, Value Stream, etc.
- Continuously works on process improvement to improve quality, simplify tooling set ups, and increase the speed of tooling changeovers.
- Continuously works on savings project for the company to help on the yearly goal set for engineer department.
- Follow all company safety policies and other safety precautions within the work area.
- Participates in all training as required.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

**Requirements**:

- Bachelor's Degree on Industrial, Mechanical or Mechatronic Engineer.
- 2 years of experience in similar position
- Experience in Solidworks (sheet metal is a plus)
- Experience in Autocad
- Advanced level of English
- MS office
