**Position**:General Accountant.

**Location**:Ciudad de México, Zona Reforma.
**Type of job**:Full time / presential.

**Position Objective**

The General Accountant will be responsible for managing the accounting operations of the company in Mexico, ensuring compliance with national and international accounting and tax regulations. This role ensures financial transparency, resource optimization, and provides support for strategic decision-making in an international renewable energy company.

**Key Responsibilities**:
**Accounting and Finance**
- Recording and control of accounting operations under NIF (Normas de Información Financiera - Mexican Financial Reporting Standards) and IFRS (International Financial Reporting Standards).
- Prepare and analyze financial statements for internal and corporate reporting.
- Manage general accounting, accounts payable and receivable, bank reconciliations, and cash flow.
- Coordinate internal and external audits.

**Tax and Legal Compliance**
- Ensure compliance and calculation with tax obligations in Mexico (ISR, VAT, DIOT, withholdings, etc.).
- File tax returns and reports with the SAT (Mexican Tax Administration Service).
- Work with tax advisors to optimize tax strategies and prevent contingencies.

**Financial Management and Treasury**
- Oversee treasury management, investments, and financing.
- Assess financial risks and develop strategies to mitigate them.

**Support to Management**
- Provide key financial information to support strategic decision-making.
- Collaborate with international teams to align accounting and financial policies.

**Requirements**:

- Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years in general accounting, preferably in international companies or the energy sector.
- Languages: Advanced English (essential for reporting and coordination with global teams).

**Key Knowledge**:

- NIF and IFRS standards.
- Mexican financial and tax regulations.
- Experience with ERP accounting systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar).
- Auditing and internal controls.
- SAT Portal Management

**Skills**:

- Analytical thinking and problem-solving approach.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
