and are responsible for all technical aspects of the sales cycle, including identifying opportunities; determining solutions; creating demand; providing inputs into detailed product specifications; technical marketing support; ensuring high quality and timely project execution and conducting follow-up technical support.
**Job Requirements**:
- Develop and manage the opportunity pipeline to drive short
- and long-term sales growth.
- Identify, engage, cultivate and drive conversion of new business with existing and prospective customers.
- Collaborate on new products from Product Definition to Production Release as required by Product Management (PM) and Engineering.
- Ensure designs meet industry and customer standards.
- Design for Manufacturing (DFM) review, preparation, and presentation to address customer design and manufacturing requirements.
- Review, prepare, and present design proposals to customer, and provide support through prototyping, design-in, and product/process qualification.
- Collaborate with engineering to implement changes to existing products to resolve quality issues.
- Review product marketing and technical information, such as CAD models and datasheets, to support new product development and launch.
**What your background should look like**:
- Degree in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering, with 5 years of experience in technical sales, account management, or product management
- Knowledge of Rail, Aerospace & Defense, Industrial Automation and Robotics, Control Panels, Oil & Gas, and/or Wire & Cable Harness Manufacturing industries.
- Experience in Product Development highly regarded
- Basic 2D/3D CAD skills (PTC Creo / Pro Engineer highly regarded.)
- Experience deciphering customer requirements and industry standards
- Relevant product or industry experience desired
- Flexible and can adjust to changing circumstances / thrives in a dynamic environment.
- Excellent planning and organizational skills with the ability to prioritize workflow and project delivery
- Analytical competency and ability to work with data
- Attention to detail
- Quality focused and achievement orientated.
- Come up with a variety of approaches to problem solve and deliver the best result to the customer.
