TWS teaches the International Early Years Curriculum in Kindergarten, the International Primary Curriculum, and the Cambridge Lower Secondary Curriculum. The school is a member of the Latin American Heads Conference, was awarded the Foundation Level of British Council’s International School Award and was recently named "One of the 10 best international schools in Latin America" by The Knowledge Review. We are looking for an exceptional Social Studies Teacher who brings creativity and a forward-thinking attitude to inspire and engage students in meaningful learning experiences. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: - Plan and teach engaging lessons that follow the IB curriculum - Support the IB philosophy by encouraging inquiry, reflection, and student voice - Stay up to date with IB training, updates, and teaching practices - Work with colleagues to design IB MYP units and ensure they meet IB standards - Include the IB Learner Profile and global themes in classroom activities - Show commitment to the IB mission and to developing globally minded students - Use different teaching methods and tools to support all learning styles - Regularly assess students and adjust teaching to support all learning styles - Mantain high expectations for learning in a positive and supportive environment THE IDEAL CANDIDATE MUST HAVE: - Passion for global education and the IB philosophy - Experience teaching Social Studies in the IB MYP - Degree in History, Geography, Political Science, Education or a related field; teaching certification preferred - Experience creating MYP units and teaching through big ideas and concepts - Strong planning and organization skills, able to adapt lessons for different learning needs - Excellent teamwork and communication skills - Able to help students think critically about local and global issues - English Proficiency - Committed to ongoing professional growth and reflective teaching - Available to work at Wingate campus located in Huixquilucan
