By joining JAC Products as a Commodity Buyer, you can experience our unique culture firsthand. In this position, you will contribute to the reduction of material costs in areas by working with existing suppliers and identifying potential suppliers. You will have the opportunity to use your knowledge of the current marketplace to create, implement, or redevelop tactics and techniques needed in negotiating business deals.

**Primary Responsibilities**:

- The position is responsible for establishing and maintaining an exceptional supply base for assigned commodities. The development of commodity strategies, year over year savings, and sourcing for new programs.
- Successfully source new suppliers in order to reduce the overall materials cost.
- Improve sourcing accuracy and timing in accordance with our Program Milestone deliverables.
- Develop commodity strategies that fully support the current and future needs
- Participate in Program Management reviews to support new program launches, on time and under budget.
- Ability to maintain Purchasing tools such as Saving Roadmaps, Sourcing Tracking Matrix, and Quotation Reporting.
- Introduce new approaches and best practices of how to do things while upholding high integrity.
- Develop and implement annual budget/savings plan.

**Requirements and Qualifications**:

- Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, or the equivalent relevant experience.
- Previous experience in a Tier I automotive environment preferred
- Commodity experience required, 7+ years of previous experience preferred
- Ability to work productively, prioritize action items, and produce results while also being flexible to environmental changes.
- High degree of analytical skills - ability to structure and process qualitative or quantitative data and draw insightful conclusions.
- Excellent negotiation skills.
- Superior written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong computer skills, including PC knowledge, Microsoft Office Suite, and ability to learn new software
- Strives to be a team player throughout the department and all areas of the company.
- Travel will be required (approximately 20 percent) to various supplier locations.
- Fluency in both Spanish and English
