**Responsibilities**:
**Description of duties and responsibilities**:
- Perform all accounting duties related to fixed assets and fixed asset reporting such as:
- Manage global investment module in obtaining authorization for all capital expenditures in line with MSA’s global policies
- Set-up all related assets in regards to SAP ECC / Investment Module on a global platform
- Distribute charges from Assets-Under-Construction
- Capitalize assets timely
- Run monthly depreciation and perform related procedures to ensure accuracy
- Record asset dispositions and retirements
- Complete monthly account analysis and roll-forward information
- Generate and distribute asset tags
- Provide oversight and coordination of fixed asset inventories at each MSA site
- Maintain proper internal controls over process
- Perform all accounting duties related to internal order entry and settlement such as:
- Partner with various functional groups to create, settle, and close internal orders / workbench elements on a timely basis
- Complete necessary reporting to understand open active/inactive orders and make proper adjustments
- Maintain proper internal controls over process and respond to auditors questions timely
- Support MSA’s global capital expenditure (CAPEX) budget process and provide necessary financial analysis for evaluating CAPEX requests
- Ensure that budget timelines are met for gathering CAPEX information
- Check accuracy of information throughout budget process and verify compliance with global policy and guidance
- Complete projects timely, efficiently and successfully
- Perform global monthly warranty entries and analysis
- Participate actively on project teams, meet project timelines and complete actions according to project schedule; communicate effectively with other team members so that all issues are clearly understood
- Perform capital budgeting analysis to support efficient investment in CAPEX (NPV, IRR, Payback Period)
Qualifications:
**Special knowledge, skills and abilities required**:
- Ability to draft clear, concise, and accurate accounting and financial reports or documents of a moderately complex nature
- Ability to effectively deliver oral presentations, primarily to internal associates
- Strong ability to identify project obstacles and use creativity to develop alternative solutions
- Demonstrated ability to make recommendations on course of action for approval and follows through on course of action
- Proven ability to coordinate certain aspects of a given project plan, meet deadlines, and produce high-quality work results and reports
- Willingness to travel up to 25%
**Education and experience required**:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business, economics, finance or related discipline
- This position is available at two different career levels based upon experience, education, etc:
- Level I - 2 years relevant experience
- Level II - 4 or more years of accounting experience
**Preferred**:
- MBA / CPA
- SAP ECC experience
