Scouting Intern

The Scouting Intern will be focused on sourcing startups for the different programs, including our corporate programs, and bootcamps; also the scouting intern will be responsible to scout for relevant events in the ecosystem where MassChallenge would be relevant. As the Scouting Intern, you will report to the Community Director. You'll spend most of your time assisting an Associate in designing and executing the team’s startup sourcing strategy. This role provides a great opportunity to immerse yourself in the LATAM entrepreneurial ecosystem, hone your research and strategic planning skills, and work on a dynamic team at MassChallenge. The work you put in during this opportunity will result in cultivating a competitive startup applicant pool for our program. **What You’ll Do**
**Conduct original research for our sourcing strategy**
- Own the creation of our sourcing list, compiling key information regarding funding, location, and company focus of relevant startups within the LATAM entrepreneurial ecosystem.
- Develop a strong understanding of our different programs and partners to best inform decisions related to sourcing
- Manage research projects overseen by the community director and the innovation manager.
- Conduct targeted outreach to key stakeholders in the LATAM ecosystem
- Manage our pipeline of potential applicants, conducting daily analysis on new applicants and informing team strategy for sourcing activities
- Complete short-term research projects to address team sourcing needs
- Build relationships with key community stakeholders to drive applicant referrals
- Contribute to data analysis to identify and track startup sourcing KPIs

**Conduct original research for events and speaking opportunities**
- Own the scouting of events where MassChallenge Mexico attendance or having a speaking opportunity is relevant for the positioning of the brand.

**Support the community team’s daily responsibilities**
- Community Success, Startup Services, and Marketing
- Partnerships (our Partners represent a cross-section of industry leaders)
- Operations and Research
- Attend relevant events with members of the community team and the larger MassChallenge organization to build support for the program’s sourcing efforts
