**Description**:
This is a staff position which independently or as part of a team, is designed to maintain or improve manufacturing engineering processes, such as process design, facility layout, work standards, simulations, standard work, manufacturing releasing, facility engineering, Heat Treat Engineering, NC Programming, Tool Design, etc.

**Job Duties/Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to**:

- Incumbents must maintain awareness of technological advances in processing, material composition, automation of material movement and /or machine capability. This knowledge is used to provide input into project assignments in an assigned area of the shop.
- Incumbents are used to analyze and investigate shop problems and follow up on recommendations. Manufacturing Technicians work within generally defined procedures and guidelines but have the latitude to analyze and solve common manufacturing process problems. Guidance is available from Manufacturing Engineers and Manufacturing Project Engineers
- The Manufacturing Technician assists with the more complex issues related to determining capital requirements, developing systems or databases, or equipment and systems integration
- Adheres to established standards, policies and practices relating to quality, cost reduction, safety, ergonomics, etc. in performing assigned duties.

**Required Qualifications**:

- BS degree in Mechanical, Mechatronics, Electronic and Industrial Engineering with experience on Machining **)**:

- 70% English level, written and oral communication
- 2+ years of relevant experience in Machining programming and processes including turning, milling, multi-axis and grinding
- Experience on leading improvement projects related to Machining
- Knowledgeable and experience with Project Management basics
- Negotiation with Customers and prioritization skills
- Provides effective communication and services in solving production problems or pursuing operations improvements

**Desired Qualifications**:

- Knowledge of Caterpillar Reman products
- Certified Six Sigma Green Belt.
- Project Management advanced skills
