You will become a specialist in a methodology (Design Failure Mode and Defect Analysis) created to analyze and define, together with the project team, all the possible root causes which could lead to a failure in the product design and define actions to mitigate the risk.
**Responsibilities**:
- Have regular meetings with the design engineers and document the analysis in a specialized software (APIS IQ FMEA).
- Follow the steps of the AIAG-VDA methodology to create a DFMEA
- Help the team define the functions and failures and challenge them to find failures which could have not been considered in the original design.
- Know how to moderate team meetings focusing on the main objective of the analysis.
- Help the design engineers translate complex circuits into simple sentences through good analytical thinking.
**Skills and qualifications**:
- Graduate engineer, Masters or Bachelors in either electronics, mechanical, mechatronics engineering, or similar degrees.
- 3-5 years of professional experience in automotive development (mechanical or electronics).
- Knowledge of AIAG-VDA FMEA methodology and ISO 26262 standard and APIS IQ FMEA software is a plus
- Excellent intercultural and English communication skills.
- Good presentation skills and ability to provide training and moderate workshops.
- Be proactive, very organized and disciplined.
