The Vehicle Controls department supports the Ford Model-E organization by providing a vehicle simulation environment that enables our controls development teams to design, verify, and validate their control systems.
**Required Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechatronics/Electronics Engineering, Computer/Software Engineering or related degree.
- Programming proficiency with some of the following Matlab/Simulink/C code.
- Working experience with debugging embedded systems.
- Working experience with testing on HIL rigs (dSpace).
- Working experience with software versioning tools (Git/GitHub).
- Familiarity with Internal Combustion and Electrified Powertrains.
- Basic knowledge of general physics and general vehicle operation. Basic knowledge of Analog/Digital Control.

- Highly motivated/self-starter and outstanding interpersonal skills. Good written and verbal English communication skills.
**Nice to Haves (Desired Qualifications/Experience):

- Familiarity with software engineering methodologies/frameworks (scrum, agile, SAFe, Continuous Integration).
- Familiarity with automotive communication protocols (LIN/CAN/Ethernet).
- Familiarity with AUTOSAR architectures.
- Provide support to end users with issues resolution.
- Collaborate with the HIL/SIL Modeling team to enhance the correlation between HIL/SIL data and vehicle data.
- Develop and maintain documentation for tools, testing methods and processes.
- Provide assistance to development of Continuous Integration framework.
