Hybrid, In Site/ Remote (Design Center Mexicali)

As a key member of the Projects Team, the Senior Design & Engineering Manager will lead the departments and team of successful design, engineering, and permitting of projects ranging from homeowner ADUs to ground-up infill developments in California and beyond
- **This role involves**

Building, training, and managing a team capable of creating a high volume of design documents and building permit acquisitions.

**Responsibilities**
- Build and manage a domestic/overseas, internal/consultant/outsourced hybrid team of design, engineering, and permitting professionals.
- Define project-specific due diligence requirements.
- Develop/procure digital tools for efficient design and permitting in a wide variety of jurisdictions
- Create and maintain drawing templates and design standards.
- Oversee construction administration
- Implement continuous improvement processes.
- Design cost-effective, prefabrication-friendly construction details.

Experiência y requisitos

**Requirements**:

- Bachelors in Architecture or Engineering, or 4+ years of relevant experience
- Knowledge of building codes, permitting, project costs, and contracts.
- Strong design process understanding and team management experience.
- Excellent communication and multitasking skills.

**Preferred**

**Skills**:

- Revit (preferred) or AutoCAD
- Experience with BIM 360, GIS, and Procore
- Familiarity with IBC and related codes.
- Knowledge of architectural or civil engineering principles.
- Experience designing and permitting solar and/or battery storage systems.
