Database developer

Database** Developer Skill Set**:

- **SQL Proficiency**: Strong command over SQL (Structured Query Language), including knowledge of querying, filtering, joining, and aggregating data.
- **Database Design**: Understanding of database design principles such as normalization, indexing, and schema optimization.
- **Database Management Systems (DBMS)**: Experience with various DBMS platforms like Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, etc.
- **Stored Procedures and Functions**: Proficiency in writing and optimizing stored procedures, user-defined functions, triggers, and views.
- **Performance Tuning**: Skills to optimize SQL queries and database performance through indexing, query rewriting, and database configuration.
- **ETL (Extract, Transform, Load)**: Familiarity with ETL processes to efficiently move and transform data between systems.
- **Troubleshooting and Debugging**: Ability to diagnose and resolve database-related issues like slow queries, locking, and concurrency problems.

**Good to have**:

- **Version Control**: Understanding of version control systems (e.g., Git) for managing database schema changes and SQL scripts.
- **Data Security**: Knowledge of SQL security best practices, including user management, permissions, and data encryption.

- **MySQL Security**: Ability to configure MySQL security settings, manage user privileges, and implement encryption.
- **Database Monitoring**: Experience with monitoring MySQL database performance and health using tools like MySQL Enterprise Monitor or open-source alternatives.
- **Stored Procedures and Triggers**: Proficiency in creating stored procedures, functions, and triggers using MySQL syntax

**Good to have**:

- **Replication and Clustering**: Understanding of MySQL replication for high availability and scalability, as well as clustering options.
