**Job Description Summary**: About GE AEO: GE Aeroderivative Engines Operations produces gas turbines for power generation. The aeroderivative engines’ design is based on commercial engines such as CF6 and GE90. The industrialization effort is focus on develop industrial suppliers to manufacture aeroderivative components. GE AEO intends to transition 1400 parts to new sources and establish around 30 new industrial suppliers around the world with special emphasis in Mexico.

Role Summary/Purpose:
The Supplier Development and Quality leader is the GE Aerospace representative within the Industrialization effort in Mexico. This role is responsible for the development of industrial suppliers that will design and manufacture electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic components. He/She will provide technical and manufacturing guidance during the New Product Introduction process, acting as a liaison between engineering design team and the suppliers. He/She will be involved in the evaluation and selection of suppliers based on their strengths and capabilities. Participating in industrial fairs along Mexico and Southern US to locate the correct suppliers. He/She will define the growth and development plans for the existing suppliers. The person in this role will growth the Mexican’s industry by developing suppliers and closing gaps in the supply chain.

**Essential Responsibilities**
- Be a liaison between the design engineers and the supplier
- Provide technical and manufacturing guidance during the New Product Introduction process
- Define and drive supplier development
- Accompanied the supplier during the pre-production review to assure supplier comply with the quality and manufacturing requirements
- Assist in selecting suppliers through evaluation and qualification processes
- Control supplier results and drive improvements by utilizing supplier scorecards
- Support certification, process, and specification equivalency approval
- Drive improvement plans where required
- Support supplier relationship efforts as required

**Qualifications/Requirements**
- Experience in design of electrical systems in the aerospace industry
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college
- Proficient to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications
- Proficient Project Manager
- Competent in component design processes
- Good communication skills to effectively work with team, suppliers and upper management
- Ability to travel ~30% of time
- Ability to interact with multidisciplinary teams
- Ability to influence others and lead teams
- Competent problem identification and solution skills
- Knowledge of First Article Inspection
- Knowledge of harnesses design
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes.
- Good communication in Spanish and English.
